You end up with an unusual blend of commercial, technology, design and relationship management capabilities that are often hard to pidgeon-hole into a conventional role. In my case I come from the commercial and marketing world and have developed technology skills along the way – as distinct from those in Technology who dabble in marketing.
To make it easier to understand what I do and the associated benefits I have broken out my skills into four main categories. These are: the creation and execution of broad digital strategy, the review of websites, microsites,etc from the perspective of customer experience and expectation, purchase flow, ease of use and brand consistency under the category of digital asset reviews, planning & buying of online media and organic/paid search , and the creation, management and development of a brand’s presence within a social and social media context.
